This research investigates the relationship between economic well-being and employment, with particular emphasis on the qualitative dimensions of work. The relevance of the topic stems from the recognition that both individual and societal well-being cannot be assessed solely based on quantitative indicators, but rather requires the integration of factors such as job security, professional satisfaction, and work-life balance. The theoretical foundations of the study are built upon the conceptual frameworks developed by the International Labour Organization, the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development, and Eurofound, which promote the concept of decent work and occupational quality standards. The study adopts a mixed methodology, combining theoretical analysis with empirical research based on a questionnaire applied to a sample of 609 respondents. The instrument aimed to capture perceptions regarding the quality of the work environment and its influence on health and overall life satisfaction. The findings reveal a clear connection between work quality and the level of well-being experienced. Work–life imbalance is identified as a major source of stress. The study offers relevant implications for the development of public policies and organizational strategies aimed at improving the quality of professional life and ensuring occupational sustainability.
