Abstract

The Great Union of 1918 led to the reorganization of the education system in Bessarabia which also included military education. Thus, in 1919, the “Regele Ferdinand I” Military High School was established in Chisinau, which actively took part in the training of national military. The military educational process had an interactive character, involving students in research activities and the elaboration of literary works inspired by national themes, traditions, folklore, etc. The intended educational objectives were achieved through cultural, scientific and didactic events, but also through the drafting of publications that publicized them. The literary journal Flamuri published by the “Regele Ferdinand I” Military High School, represented a context for promoting talented military students, being also the expression of the performance of young people in various fields such as: science, literature, sport, culture, etc. At the same time, this journal was an institutional framework with a cultural and scientific content, as a faithful expression of the educational policies of the time.
