Personal archive fund of academician Nicolae Dimo (1873–1959)

Abstract

This informative study is part of a series of materials aimed at presenting the archival fund of the Central Scientific Archive of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova (currently the Archive Section. Restoration and Pathology of documents under the subordination of the ”Andrei Lupan” Scientific Library [Institute] of the State University from Moldova). The article presents the personal collection of academician Nicolae Dimo (1873–1959), renowned pedologist, originally from Bessarabia. The materials related to the activity of academician Nicolae Dimo entered the heritage of the Central Scientific Archive of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova, in the 1950s (in the context of the founding of the Archive), through the Institute of Pedology, Agrochemistry and Soil Protection that bears his name. The fund contains a single inventory consisting of 407 u.p., the documents being dated to the years 1818–1956. The inventory includes nine sections: I. Scientific works; II. Biographical materials; VII Correspondence of N.A. Dimo; VIII. Materials of other persons; IX. The collection of maps.
