Ethics
The editorial policy of the “Akademos” journal complies with the COPE (Publication Ethics Committee) good practice Guidelines and standards, with the view to implementing certain international norms of publication culture.
The “Akademos” journal assumes full responsibility for complying with the standards of publication ethics and ethical behavior at all stages of work on manuscripts. To this end, the publisher agrees with authors upon a collaborative relationship that subscribes to the purpose of publicizing original research of certain scientific value, excluding plagiarism, errors and scientific falsehoods.
THE RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE AUTHOR
Moral copyright on published articles belongs to the author.
From the moment the articles are submitted for publication, the author sends to the “Akademos” magazine the right to reproduce the work, the right to distribute the original of the work, the right to rent copies of the work, the right to make the work available on-line.
The quality of the article lies with the author's ethical obligation.
The author takes full responsibility for the factual accuracy of the submitted data and the scientific correctness of the article.
In order to avoid plagiarism, the author undertakes to correctly and completely cite all sources used in the process of documenting the article.
Authors are not allowed to apply a manuscript that has already been published.
The responsibility for the original character of the published text belongs to the author. In this context, the author signs a Statement of Ethics on their own responsibility, stating the original character of the article, the lack of plagiarism and self-plagiarism, the fact that it has not been published in another journal and that it will comply with the suggestions of the reviewers.
In case of necessity, the author may include information about the financiers of the given research.
The author will benefit from a respectful and transparent treatment from the publisher, who will bring to his notice the objections and suggestions of the reviewers appointed by the Editorial Board, will mediate the entire process of technical and scientific elaboration of the manuscript.
In order to respect the copyright, the author will sign sign with the editor an Agreement for the transfer of the patrimonial rights of the author, provided by art. 11 a), b), c), i) of Law no. 139 of 02.07.2010 on copyright and related rights.
SELF-ARCHIVING / REPOSITORY
Authors may immediately deposit the submitted version, accepted manuscript, and published version (registered version) in institutional or thematic repositories and on personal web pages, provided that they cite the final published article in the journal and include its DOI/URL and the CC BY 4.0 license statement.
RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE EDITOR
The editor takes responsibility of identifying and preventing the publication of articles containing research errors.
The editor will cooperate with the authors at all stages of reviewing, drafting and adjusting the manuscripts, in order to detect and remove any potential errors or scientific falsifications.
The editor will provide the author with the opportunity to withdraw his article and work on improving it.
The editor will provide the authors with the adequate guidance from the reviewers, through the double-anonymous peer-review procedure.
The editorial staff will send the final layout of the article to the author for final confirmation, before printing.
The editor will ensure the application of the professional anti-plagiarism checking procedure. Filed manuscripts containing plagiarized or self-plagiarized text are rejected.
The editorial staff will reject from the beginning the manuscripts that do not comply with the requirements contained in the Instruction for Authors.
If the manuscript is not accepted for publication, the author will be sent a motivational refusal.
Rejecting an article will not influence the publisher's further relationship with the author; the author may submit, anytime, an improved manuscript or a new article.
In case the editor has made a technical or content error when publishing the manuscript or in relation to the author, the explanatory notes and excuses will be published in the next issue of the journal.
The editorial opinion does not always coincide with the author's opinion.
The editor will ensure that each article is assigned a DOI identifier and a UDC index.
