Vasile Grama, a plastic artist who has distinguished himself throughout his creative career in various genres of fine and decorative arts, reflects through his works the artistic aspirations of a generation of artists from the Republic of Moldova who harmoniously combine post avant-garde stylistic landmarks with the representative traditions of folk art. Consistently practicing artistic tapestry, silk printing and easel painting for several decades, the painter has defined his stylistic individuality through a relevant conceptual-thematic repertoire and the development of a distinctive expressive area. The originality of his creation lies in in his innovative approach to structuring the composition of the image's plane and space, the means of artistic expression being guided by constructivist methodologies, which enable the generation of messages with profound associative impact.
