Rezumat

În lucrare este investigat impactul progresului gândirii economice asupra copiilor aflați în dificultate, evidențiind tranzițiile esențiale de la teoriile economice timpurii la perspectivele contemporane. Inițial, copiii erau priviți drept bunuri economice, necesitatea muncii lor fiind raționalizată pentru prosperitatea națională. Industrializarea a scos la iveală condițiile de exploatare a muncii copiilor, determinând reforme sociale semnificative și o legislație de protecție. Psihologia și sociologia modernă au aprofundat înțelegerea dezvoltării copilului, punând accent pe educația timpurie și sănătate. Strategiile bazate pe dovezi din economia comportamentală și studiile randomizate ghidează acum intervențiile politice eficiente. O abordare multidisciplinară este decisivă în îmbunătățirea condițiilor pentru copiii vulnerabili, prin asigurarea că aceștia își pot realiza întregul potențial într-un mediu de sprijin.
